At Independence Farm, riders have open access to our pristine 60-acre farm, recognized as one of Lake County’s most beautiful equestrian establishments within the North Shore Chicagoland area. Our plush 60-acre land provides riders with space to ride, breathtaking views, and direct access to horseback riding trails along the Des Plaines River and Independence Grove Forest Preserve. State of the art outdoor facilities include two large outdoor rings, a hunt field with jumps, a separate pasture for riding, as well as both grass and all-weather limestone paddocks. Our two outdoor arenas feature kruse cushion ride footing, so riders receive “Hunter Derby” style access to Hunt Field by jumping into and out of the arena.
